Where do I get a card?
You can use any magnetic stripe card from your wallet or you can buy a Library Copy Card from the Large Autoloaders located at Fisher, Health Sciences & Law Libraries. The cost of the Library copy card is $1.30.

Which card will work?
Library copy cards, bank account cards, Medicare cards, and credit cards all work.
Many other types of cards don't seem to work, including bus tickets, video cards, leagues or sports club cards. If in doubt, please contact the Monitor staff in Fisher Library on x15153.

I am a staff member or researcher - how do I get an account card?
You will need to fill in a new form to activate an account card, contact the Monitor Office at Fisher Library or your Subject Librarian contact.

"Not Found" message displayed on the Autoloader
Your card has no data encoded on the magnetic stripe, try another card. If you are using a Library Copy Card, please report the Card Number and fault to the Monitor staff at Fisher.

Is using my bank card safe?
As with all banking systems your PIN is your security. Only you know your PIN. The system uses your selected card and PIN to identify you to your Library Copy Card Account - NOT your bank account which is completely separate.

Do I need a PIN?
You don't have to use a PIN - if you bypass this the first time you can use your copycard without a PIN. However, using a PIN does stop anyone else from using your card if you lose it.

Where do I get a PIN?
You select your own 4 digit numeric PIN the first time you use one of the card readers connected to any Library photocopier. Use a PIN you won't forget as you will be asked for your PIN every time you copy or print.

Where can I get change?
A change machine is provided at Fisher Library.

Do Autoloaders provide a receipt?
The Autoloaders at Fisher, Health Sciences & Law issue GST compliant receipts. A complete history of transactions by way of a statement can be generated by the Monitor staff at Fisher if required.
Autoloaders at other locations do not provide a receipt.
