Configuration of Library computers

Hardware and software

The Library computers are PCs running Windows XP. Internet Explorer and access to the internet is available. There is no email client installed, but web-based email can be accessed from Internet Explorer. Check at the Information Desk if accessing email is permitted.

Other programs may be available on the computers, subject to licence agreements. These include:

• Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
• Scifinder Scholar
• Endnote

Most software is available to current staff and students of the University only.
