What can I request?
You may request any published item that is related to your research, studies or employment at the University of Sydney. This is however at the discretion of the lending library and many libraries do not loan multimedia material.
Articles may be requested from journals held at other University of Sydney campuses.
Need more information? Please contact your home library
How much may I request?
All requests are subject to Australian Copyright Legislation. Copyright information is available at this page.
How do I find and request a thesis?
This page http://www.library.usyd.edu.au/theses/index.html has information on how to find a thesis. Once you have located the thesis you require and checked for full-text availability, please submit a Document Delivery request form through MyLibrary (choose the Thesis form).
Please note that some theses are not available for purchase or loan.
What is a Home Library?
When you register for Document Delivery, you choose a Home Library to process your requests.
If you request a loan, your Home Library will be your pick-up location, so you may like to think about its proximity to where you live, work or study. It will also be your contact point for help and enquiries about requests you have submitted. Your Home Library usually supplies your journal articles electronically to your University email address. To register your Home Library, login to MyLibrary and click on the link to register.
How do I change my Home Library?
Simply login to MyLibrary, click on the link to register, and choose a different Home Library. Any new requests you submit will now be processed by your new Home Library.
Please note: Any requests you submitted to a previous Home Library will be supplied by that Library - and therefore those items will need to be collected from (and returned to) that Library.
Please contact your home library for further assistance.

How will my articles be sent?
The preferred method of sending articles is via Web document delivery. Web document delivery is a method for providing requested articles by posting them on the web, rather than mailing or E-mailing. Your documents can be retrieved from any computer with web access.

If you have difficulty accessing your document, please consult the web delivery help page. If you still can't access your documents, please contact your home library.
