Produced by the State Library of New South Wales, INFOQUICK provides a comprehensive index to articles about Australia and Australians published in the Sydney Morning Herald and associated publications.

AANRO:Australian Agriculture and Natural Resources Online
A free database which searches close to 180,000 detailed descriptions of research projects and documents about Australian agriculture and natural resources, as well as ABOA, Streamline and ARRIP. It includes links to electronic full text and related web sites, and has a mapsearch facility (Geosearch).

Agricola
Bibliographic references provided by the US National Library of Agriculture to journal articles, book chapters, monographs, series, microforms, audiovisuals and maps relating to agriculture and related sciences.

AGRIS/CARIS
AGRIS is the international information system for the agricultural sciences and technology. It was created by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 1974, to facilitate information exchange and to bring together world literature dealing with all aspects of agriculture.

Water Information System for the Environment: WISE
A collection of databases, each containing comprehensive bibliographies of water information connected to different parts of a specific catchment located in New South Wales.

PrimateLit: a bibliographic database for primatology
PrimateLit is a database covering scientific literature on nonhuman primates. It spans from 1940 to the present and includes all publication categories and many subject areas. The database can be searched in two main ways - a search of the full database, or a search limited to citations indexed in the last six months. PrimateLit is a collaborative project of the Wisconsin and Washington Regional Primate Research Centers.

Flora of Australia Online
Flora of Australia aims to provide a uniform description of the plants of Australia, with identification keys, illustrations of most genera and many species and distribution maps of all taxa. The information for taxa includes important references, synonymy, type collections, chromosome numbers, distribution, habitat, and published illustrations. It is a freely available resource.

International Plant Names Index: IPNI
The IPNI is a database of the names and associated basic bibliographical details of all seed plants. Its goal is to eliminate the need for repeated reference to primary sources for basic bibliographic information about plant names. Data sources include the Index Kewensis (IK), the Gray Card Index (GCI) and the Australian Plant Names Index (APNI). The IPNI is produced by the Australian National Herbarium, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and Harvard University Herbaria.

IVIS Veterinary Drug Database
Published by International Veterinary Information Service, Ithaca, NY, USA. This database is a global pharmacopeia that can be searched by generic name, brand name (commercial name), drug category, species, country or region. Users must register with IVIS to gain access. Registration is simple and free.

PubMed
This project was developed by the U.S. National Center for Biotechnology Information at the National Library of Medicine, located at the National Institutes of Health. The project has been developed with the participation of publishers of biomedical literature and provides links to full-text journals at Web sites of participating journals. A list of journals with links to full-text web sites is also available. PubMed provides access to around 9 million records drawn primarily from MEDLINE and PreMEDLINE.

Online Mendellian inheritance in animals (OMIA)
A database of the genes and phenes in a wide range of animal species.

TOXNET
Produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, TOXNET is a collection of databases on toxicology, hazardous chemicals and related areas. It includes TOXLINE, a database that covers the biochemical, pharmacological, physiological, and toxicological effects of drugs and other chemicals.

(DART/ETIC) Database
The Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology/Environmental Teratology Information Center Database is published by the U.S. National Library of Medicine. It covers teratology and other aspects of developmental and reproductive toxicology and contains over 100,000 references to literature published since 1965. It can searched by subject terms, title words, chemical name, Chemical Abstracts Service Registry Number (RN), and author.
