EndNote X1 Tutorial

EndNote is bibliographic management software that allows you to organise your references and build bibliographies.

If you have problems using this tutorial or EndNote please contact your Faculty Liaison Librarian.

The Library also runs EndNote classes. Check Information Skills > Classes > EndNote classes for times.

Find out where to use EndNote on-campus.

EndNote Web

EndNote Web was released by Thomson ResearchSoft in December 2006. It is a simplified online version of EndNote, with all your references stored online, acessible from wherever you are.

The University of Sydney Library is not currently supporting EndNote Web as the product is still under development, and testing has indicated that the Microsoft Word EndNote Web toobar will not function on public computers in the Library, due to a bug in the initial software release.

If you are using a commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP) you can use EndNote Web. To sign up for an account, visit www.endnoteweb.com. Before using EndNote Web view the tutorials available on the EndNote Web site.
