Email Alerts from ISI Web of Knowledge databases - Current Contents Connect & Web of Science
Setting up Alerts in ISI Web of Knowledge databases for Import into Endnote
- Register on the ISI Web of Knowledge database page. Once this is done you will be able to save your searches and set up alerts in Current Contents Connect and Web of Science.
- Run your search in either the Current Contents Connect or Web of Science databases.
- Click Search History.
- Click Save History.
- Enter the History Name and a description(optional).
- Tick Send Me E-mail Alerts.
- Enter your email address.
- Select your Alert Type: Full Record.
- Email format: Field Tagged.
- Email Frequency: Weekly, or Monthly.
- Click Save.
Importing references from a text file into Endnote using an import filter
- Copy and paste the citations from the email into Word, and save it as a text (.txt) file. Disregard any lines or extra text, as the citations will import without editing.
- Close your Word file. An open Word file will not import.
- Open your EndNote library and import your saved txt file using the ISI-CE filter.
