GoogleScholar

Direct Export

You can update your Google Scholar preferences to allow you to import references directly into Endnote. It is not currently possible to select multiple references for import.

  • In Google Scholar, click on Scholar Preferences to the right of the search box.
  • Scroll down to the Bibliography Manager section at the bottom of the page.
  • Activate the Show links to import citations into button, and select Endnote from the drop down box
  • Click on Save Preferences.

  • Enter your search into Google Scholar.
  • An Import into Endnote link is displayed under each result - click on this link for the reference you wish to import.

  • Click Open in the File Download dialog box.
  • EndNote will automatically open.
  • Browse to and select the correct Endnote Library.
  • The Reference will be exported into the Endnote library. Other references are temporarily hidden. Reference>Show All References to reveal all references in the library.
