Known Problems with downloads from IEEE Xplore into EndNote

Some editing of references in EndNote may be necessary due to the following issues:

  • Conference papers download as Reference Type: Conference Proceedings.
The reference type must be manually changed to Conference Paper. Additionally, the volume information is downloaded correctly into the Volume field but is then repeated after the page numbers in the Pages field. This should be deleted manually.
  • Standards download as Reference Type: Journal Article.
Currently there is no reference type for standards, though it is possible for the user to create such a reference type from one of the unused reference types in the system.
