Mac information
“Direct Export does not work with a Mac; nor does the MLA Ebsco filter provided in Endnote. You will need to save the records in MLA (Ebsco), and then import them into EndNote using an amended filter. Click here to download a Mac filter for MLA (Ebsco)"
Mac filter use instructions
Save records in MLA Ebsco:
- add the records you want to the folder
- view the folder
- mark the records again by clicking in the check boxes
- choose the direct export option.

Known Problems:
- When the records are being saved in Ebsco to an EndNote recognisable format, diacritics are mangled. You will need to manually correct diacritics.
- Page numbers for journal articles and chapters cannot be transferred to the EndNote record. Only the start page of the article/chapter appears. You will need to manually correct this.
- There is no issue number for journal articles. You will need to manually correct this.
