To convert a PC filter, style or connection to a Mac format

Macintosh users will need to convert amended files written for PCs to a format recognizable by Macs.

  1. Go to the Mac EndNote page http://mac.unimaas.nl/EndNote.html at the University of Maastricht. The information there is relevant to all versions of EndNote. The Maastrich EndNote conversion utility will convert any PC Filter, Style and Connection files to a Mac-compatible format.
  2. Download the file called this archive and decode it with Stuffit Expander or similar software. The file may decode automatically.
  3. Double click on the Endnotes.sit icon to create an Endnotes folder with the 3 applications create_endnote_filter, create_endnote_style and create_endnote_connection.
  4. Download the required PC file and drop it onto relevant create_endnote_ ... application in the Endnotes folder.
  5. Move the new file to the relevant folder of your EndNote software.
