Inserting an object or file into a reference
- Double click on the reference to open the reference window, References > File Attachments > Attach File

- Browse to locate the file, highlight it, click Open to insert it.
EndNote allows you to attach a wide variety of file types, including these:- Audio files (wav, mp3)
- Microsoft Access files, Microsoft Excel files,
- Microsoft PowerPoint files,
- Microsoft Project files,
- Microsoft Visio files, Microsoft Word files,
- Multimedia files (mov, QuickTime),
- PDF files (Portable Document Format),
- Technical Drawing Files, Text files (txt, rtf, HTML).
- The file will appear as an attachment, with the program icon.

- Type a caption in the Caption field. See: More about captions
Note:
Each EndNote reference can contain up to 45 file attachments but only one figure in the Figure field. If you insert a second image or picture, it will replace the first one.
