Troubleshooting

For staff members:

  • If you have recently obtained a new Staff Card, a new Library Borrower Number is printed on the card.

For honorary associates:

  • Contact the library if you need help with your number, or you get an error message saying:

    • your patron record has expired

    • the privileges attached to your Library card do not allow you to use the Library's subscriptions to electronic resources from off-campus

Check your browser settings.

  • Delete your browser cookies and cache/temporary internet files.

    • In Internet Explorer:

      • Tools > Internet Options > click Delete Cookies, and Delete Files.

      • Close all browser windows, then re-open the browser.

  • If you have enabled AutoComplete in your browser, and it is automatically filling out or partially completing one or more of the boxes on the login screen, don't accept what it inserts. Delete the content and type it in afresh.

  • Try typing your barcode number into another application such as Word so that you can check that there are no mistakes, then copy and paste it into the barcode field on the login screen. Ensure that you don't copy and paste an extra space at the end of the number.

Still have a problem?

  • Contact your Faculty Liaison Librarian or the Electronic Access Librarian and tell us:

    • Your full name and Library Borrower Number.

    • Your ID number

    • What happens when you attempt to login - do you get an error message? What does it say?

    • What browser and version are you using?
