Methods of off-campus access

To obtain off-campus access to Library electronic resources, enrolled students and staff can:

  1. Connect to the Internet with a a commercial ISP. Login to off-campus access with their UniKey or Name / Library Borrower Number, as described above. This gives you access to almost all of the Library's electronic resources as if you were on campus.
  2. Use the University of Sydney Dialup Service - the University of Sydney ISP. This is the best option as you get access to all the Library electronic resources as if you were on campus.
If you wish to keep your commerical ISP, you can set up a second, Sydney University profile in your modem, which you only use to access Library resources.
  3. Use the University of Sydney Virtual Private Network (VPN) - this is a similar option for broadband users, and will give you access to almost all the Library electronic resources.
