Collections
The Architecture Library supports the teaching and research of the Faculty of Architecture.
The main focus of the collection are the fields of Architecture, Architectural and Design Science,
Building Science and Urban and Regional Planning.
The collection is shelved by call number using the Dewey Decimal Classification System. Books and journals are shelved separately.
Books
All books on the open shelves are available for loan. Very large books are identified in the catalogue by a call number starting with F (for Folio), and are shelved in a separate area.
Journals
Journal volumes and issues are not available for loan.
Reference Collection
Reference material is not for loan.
Rare Book Collection
A collection of historically significant material is located in the Rare Book Room. This material is not available for browsing or for loan. Please ask Library staff for access.
Closed Reserve Collection
This collection consists of loose leaf reference material and is located behind the information desk. Loan period is 2 hours with no overnight loans. This material is for use in the Library only.
Reserve Collection
This collection consists of high demand material and is located behind the information desk. Some books are available for 3 day loans and some for a 2 hour period.
Overnight loans must be borrowed less than 2 hours before closing time. Overnight loans must be returned before 10.00am the following day.
Private copies are not available for overnight loan and must be used in the Library only.
