To find a journal by title on the Library Catalogue
- Go to the Library Catalogue.
- Select "Journal" from the catalogue menu bar.
- Type in the journal title,
e.g. "International journal of architectural computing" and click Search.

To find journals by subject on the Library Catalogue:
- Go to the Library Catalogue.
- Select "Subject" from the catalogue menu bar.
- Type in the subject heading plus the word periodicals,
e.g. "Human computer interaction - periodicals" and click on Search.

To find electronic journals or texts on the Library Catalogue:
- Go to the Library Catalogue.
- Select "Subject" or "Keyword" from the catalogue menu bar.
- Type in the subject heading or keywords e.g. "Computer Animation".
- In the box next to the search butoon, click on the arrow to make the drop down menu appear and select "Electronic Journals" or "Electronic Resources".

How do I get access to these journals from my computer at home or at work?
Tips:
- Not all journals listed in the library catalogue are current subscriptions.
- Most electronic journals are of recent origin. Access is generally begins in the late 1990's.
- For print journals you can see from the LIB HAS field in the record how much of a journal we have and when we stopped receiving it. A dash at the end of the LIB HAS information indicates a current subscription.
- For electronic journals, the link will tell you when the access began, and if relevant, when access ceased.
A large number of e-books available through Safari Tech can be accessed via the library catalogue.
These books are mainly computer books and software manuals.
To see a list of Safari Tech e-books:
- Go to the Library Catalogue
- Select 'Title' from the drop-down menu
- Type "Safari Tech" into the search box
- Click 'Enter'
