Electronic resources
Off-campus access (Remote)
- Use Extro, the University Internet Service Provider, to access e-resources as if you are on the University campus.
- If the University is not your Internet Service Provider authentication is required before you can access the electronic resources. You will be prompted to enter your unikey login and password.
- Use the following links for more information on Remote Access, University Dialup Service and Databases requiring passwords (these are marked Password in the database lists).
Accessing Library Services from University of Sydney teaching hospitals
- You can either use the Remote Access system or contact Faculty of Medicine IT who can arrange a University login. For more information about this contact the Computing Services Officer at your hospital.
Electronic textbooks and journals
- Search the Library Catalogue for both e-texts and e-journals.
- When searching for specific journal articles search the catalogue for the journal title. The only time you can use the author's name to search for an article in the catalogue is when that article is located in e-reserve.
Electronic databases
- Use the databases to search for research articles on a topic.
- Search a Health and Medical Databases or browse the Complete List of the Library's Electronic Databases.
