Abstract:	John Le Gay Brereton, 1871 - 1933 was a scholar and writer. He was a student of the University of Sydney and later Librarian of Fisher Library, University of Sydney from 1902 to 1921 and Challis Professor of English Literature from 1921 to 1933.
