The byrth of mankinde : otherwise named, The womans booke / set foorth in English by Thomas Raynalde, physition, and by him corrected and augmented.
London : [T. Dawson] Imprinted for Thomas Adams : [1613]
A free translation, first published in 1545 from the German text of 1513 by Eucharius Rösslin. This itself is a compilation from classical texts (Rösslin apparently had no practical experience of obstetrics) but even so it was a landmark publication - the first textbook of obstetrics after a gap of 14 centuries.
