Citation Searching in Other databases
SciFinder Scholar
- SciFinder Scholar contains 2 journal databases - CAPLUS and MEDLINE.
- Subjects include : chemistry, engineering, physics, medical sciences, biology/life sciences and polymer sciences.
- Provides cited/citing reference searching from 1999+
- Web of Science and SciFinder both contain unique references - it is recommended to search both.
Searching SciFinder Scholar
- Use Explore to do an author search

- You will be given an option to select possible variations on your name. Choose all possible ways your name could be listed.
- You may still retrieve results that were not authored by you.

- Use the Analyze/Refine button to limit your search by Company/Organization.
- This feature will allow you to select institutions associated with your research and eliminate other authors.
Citation Searching
- Once you have a set of results you can search for citing references

- Use the Get Related... button and select Citing References
- A list of papers that have cited your work will be retrieved
Analysing Citing References
- It is possible to analyse these results

- Use the Analyze/Refine button to retrieve a list of options.

- An analysis by Publication Year for example will result in the following graph:
