The archive stores digital files from archaeological projects that may be freely accessed for scholarly use. The database is growing gradually. It is part of the Center for the Study of Architecture/Archaeology (CSA), which also houses the CAD Archive.

Pompeii Forum Project
Sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the University of Virginia, and private contributors, this project provides systematic documentation of the architecture and decoration of the forum. It also aims to contribute to the history of urbanism and contemporary problems of urban design.

Penn Museum Archives
The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (UPM) has a rich collection of archaeological and ethnographic artifacts, archival field records, and photographs. Their MIS project aims to provide a digital index of all objects, documents, and reports from selected collections. Chosen for this pilot project are the Pre-Columbian cemetery at Sitio Conte, Panama, the site of Gordion in Turkey, and Pech de l'Azé IV, a Middle Paleolithic site located in France..
