Databases for Architecture

As Individual articles and conference papers are not listed in the Library Catalogue you will need to use indexing and abstracting services to search for them. Most indexing and abstracting services are now available as electronic databases.

Electronic databases provide citations,which includes the author and title of the article or conference paper and the title and publication dates of the journal or conference in which it appeared. Sometimes an abstract will be provided as well.

If there is no link to the full text of the article or paper, you will need to search the Library Catalogue to find out if the journal or conference is held, it's location and call number.
You will have to search the catalogue by journal or conference title not by the title of the individual article or paper.

If you know the name of the database you wish to search you can select it from the alphabetical list of databases, or you can browse databases by subject.

Print indexes are available for some titles, and dates, not covered by the databases. Please check the catalogue or speak with Library staff about these resources.
