Biodiversity
The Australian Biological Resources Study (ABRS) provides online delivery of taxonomic and biological information on species known to occur in Australia. Databases include directories of flora, fauna, marine algae, lichens and fungi.
The Australian Biodiversity Information Facility (ABIF) is the Australian node for the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) an international organisation that is working to make the world's biodiversity data accessible everywhere in the world. Information on species and other groups of plants, animals, fungi and micro-organisms, including species occurrence records, as well as classifications and scientific and common names, in Australia and other countries.
Bioinformatics
Aims to ensure free public access to information from molecular biology and genome research. EBI manages databases of biological data including nucleic acid, protein sequences and macromolecular structures. Also provides software tools.

Designed for research scientists, graduate students and post-docs, educators and students, the site includes resources for education, communication and research.

The Universal Virus Database of the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTVdB), The Plant Virus Database (VIDEdB) and Viruses in Australian Plants.
