The Curriculum Corporation is an independent education support organisation owned by all Australian education ministers established to assist education systems in improving student learning outcomes. They offer teachers a range of education resources and curriculum products to support their classroom goals, covering issues such as values, information literacy, learning styles, thinking skills, middle years, inquiry and boys education.

This guide is designed to support the development of teaching and learning for patrons of the Curriculum Resources Collection at the University of Sydney. Some of them reflect the subject divisions defined by the NSW Board of Studies, and may be broken up into the Key Learning Areas. Others reflect specific interests and guides to using electronic tools. There are also links, where appropriate, to the resources of the NSW Department of Education and Training.

The Board of Studies was established in 1990 to serve government and non-government schools in the development of school education for Years K-12. It provides educational leadership by developing quality curriculum and awarding secondary school credentials, the School Certificate and the Higher School Certificate.

This Government department provides education for around 70 per cent of all school students in New South Wales at more than 2,200 locations throughout the State. By supporting the ongoing provision of quality teaching and learning in public schools, the Department initiates, manages and participates collaboratively with universities in undertaking major educational research projects and provides quality assurance assessment of applications from external research agencies seeking to conduct research in NSW public schools.

This is a site developed through the collaborative efforts of educational agencies and instrumentalities in NSW. It aims to support teachers preparing students for the NSW HSC, particularly those teachers working in rural schools, provides access to the deliberations, publications and activities of the various subject associations, and facilitates discussion of issues in these areas.

StudentNet is provided by the Association of Independent Schools of NSW and serves educators, parents and students in NSW K-12 schools by bringing together links to quality educational websites and other useful or interesting information. StudentNet also offers web-related technical services to schools, education entities, parent groups and special interest teacher groups.
