This is the national coordinating body for teachers of English to speakers of other languages. The Council publishes TESOL in Context, selected articles of which are available from the site. They are engaged in an ESL Indigenous Project, and also provide details of upcoming events and conferences in the area of TESOL.

The Association promotes the advancement of second language teaching throughout Canada by creating opportunities for professional development, by encouraging research and by facilitating the sharing of information among second language educators. This bilingual site provides links to language organisations, curriculum guides, and online articles.

This site is designed as an Internet meeting place for ESL and EFL teachers and students, and provides access to a range of discussion forums. The site also links to quizzes for students, and teaching ideas for children.

European Society for the Study of English (ESSE)

The Society is a European federation of national higher educational associations for the study of English. The aim of the Society is to advance the education of the public by promoting the European study and understanding of English languages, literatures in English and cultures of English-speaking peoples. It provides an information network, in the form of a newsletter (The Messenger), about matters related to English studies in Europe, such as curriculum developments, national conferences, specialised research projects.
