E-Reserve: what it is and how to use it

Some articles are made available online for specific subjects or units of study, especially for course readings. These are accessed via the Reserve module of the Library catalogue, under the Unit of Study or the Lecturer's name. If you are off-campus, make sure you read the information about off-campus access to Reserve articles.
  1. Go to the Library Catalogue
  2. Click on the blue Reserve tab at the top
  3. Search by Unit of Study or click on Lecturer at the top
  4. Enter the information. For example:
Unit of Study - ENGG 1803, or Professional Engineering 1
      Lecturer - McHugh, Paul
This search will find books as well as articles placed into Reserve for your unit of study. Some of the items are kept in hardcopy at Engineering Reserve; note down their call number and request them at the Information Desk in the Engineering Library. Books from Reserve are available for two hour or overnight loans only.

Other items however are made available online. Instead of a call number, they are marked Electronic item. To access them, click on the title and then click the link 'Connect to the full text article ...'
