Using your information

Citing your resources

Citing your sources is an important part of the research process. In many instances you will be interpreting the work of others using their thoughts to construct your arguments. It is therefore important that you give proper acknowledgement of the person or persons whose ideas you have used.

When citing a reference that you have used, it is important that you follow a prescribed style. The English Department will give you a citation guide and this is what you should follow.
