How to find a book on your reading list
Your lecturer will often give you a reading list that will include books, chapters in books and articles. Here are some strategies to help you locate the different types of material.
Books
You can recognise that something is a book by the inclusion of a publisher, a place of publication and a date of publication. Here are two examples of book citations:

Chapters in Books
Chapters can sometimes be hard to distinguish. References to book chapters are usually identified by the word in followed by the title of the book. As the reference is asking you to look at a book, you will also see a publisher and place of publication listed.
In this example to locate the chapter do a title search of the book not the chapter title. Then go to the shelf and locate the book. [Go to catalogue]
