General History
The purpose of this guide is to list relevant Internet sites, Library databases, electronic journals and printed reference sources relating to History. This is not a comprehensive guide or gateway but rather a starting point to broad-based electronic resources in the area:
ELECTRONIC JOURNALS
• Electronic journals generally provide access to the full text of articles via the Internet.
Latest list of history ejournals, direct from the catalogue
• Current University of Sydney staff and students may access many of these from their home or office using an Extro Account or the Remote Access Service. In some cases, passwords may be available.
NB Remember, there may be printed copies of the journals, especially earlier issues, in Fisher Research Library.

D'Historia. El fil d'Ariadna: History Journals Index
An index of history journals with websites from Professor Anaclet Pons of the University of Valencia. Arranged alphabetically, it features annotations for each journal in the language in which it is published. The site also offers links to other history resources, arranged by subject, format and country.
eJIH: Electronic Journal of International History
Articles from 2000+ cover international history by examining how the politics, societies, economies and traditions of countries have shaped and influenced international relations since circa 1500.
History Journals Guide
An international directory of journals and discussion lists in the fields of history and archaeology. The HJG covers scientific and popular-scientific, current and ceased, frequently or irregularly appearing, and interdisciplinary periodicals and lists. Links to online content, publisher's websites and other information of interest are included. The site is searchable by keyword.
JSTOR
JSTOR is a fully-searchable database containing the back issues of a variety of scholarly journals in history.
Project Muse
A searchable index of more than 120 online journals in the Humanities and Social Sciences, with searching available for over 10,000 fulltext articles.
