Renaissance History
The purpose of this guide is to list relevant Internet sites, Library databases, electronic journals and printed reference sources relating to the Renaissance. This is not a comprehensive guide or gateway but rather a starting point to information in the area. Other useful resources will appear under General History.

Sixteenth Century Journal
The site contains table of contents for the journal from 1999+, and a bibliograhy from the articles.
The Library has the printed issues in Fisher Research 940.2 4, vol 1, 1970+.
NB Remember, there may be printed copies of the journals, especially earlier issues, in Fisher Research Library.
Other Ejournals
The Library does not subscribe to the online version of these journals, so the full text cannot be accessed via the Internet in the Library. The websites of these journals do provide abstracts of the articles though and some are received as print journals.
EIRC: Explorations in Renaissance Culture
The journal contains articles on literature, art and iconography, music, history, gender studies and culture. The webpage contains an index for vols 1, 1974+.
The journal itself is available at Monash University.

The site contains biographical details of authors, links to the full text of their works, selected articles and essays, and further links available on the Internet. It has been created by Anniina Jokinen, who has used the Norton Anthology of English Literature, sixth edition, as the main authority for accuracy of dates and details.

Renaissance Electronic Texts
These texts, including the Life and Death of Wolsey and Elizabethan homilies, has been created by the University of Toronto Library as a free resource. The original spelling is retained, and the texts are html and sgml coded documents rather than scanned facsimiles.
