E-Reserve: what it is and how to use it

Some articles are made available online for specific subjects or units of study, especially for required reading. These are accessed via the Reserve module of the Library catalogue, under the Unit of Study or the Lecturer's name. If you are off-campus, make sure you read the information about off-campus access to Reserve articles.

1. Go to the Library Catalogue
2. Click on reserve in the yellow navigation bar at the top
3. Click on either Unit of Study or Lecturer
4. Enter the information. For example:
     Unit of Study - INFO 1003 Foundations of Information Technology
     Lecturer - Louie, Darren

This search will find books as well as articles placed into Reserve for your unit of study. Some of the items are kept in hardcopy at Fisher Reserve; note down their call number and request them at Fisher Reserve.

Other items however are made available online. Instead of a call number, they are marked Electronic item. To access them, click on the title and then click the link 'Connect to the full text article via ...' More information about E-Reserve.
