The Center is leading CDC's efforts to prevent and control asthma in partnership with state and local health departments in the U.S.

U.S. National Heart Lung and Blood Institute
The Asthma Management Model System is an information management tool designed to facilitate science-based decisionmaking and evidence-based medicine in long-term asthma management. The system consists of three main components: The Research Mode links to a variety of searchable databases and other resources. The Education Mode provides access to clinical practice guidelines, an electronic library, continuing education and patient education materials, and teaching/learning tools. The Communication Mode allows you to e-mail the Webmaster and register for updates, and will soon connect to online forums and discussions.

Asthma Clinical Research Network (ACRN)
The Network (ACRN) was established in 1993 by the Division of Lung Diseases (DLD), National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI). It is a multi-center group designed to conduct multiple studies of asthma. The ACRN is dedicated to conducting well designed Clinical trials for rapid evaluation of new and existing therapeutic approaches for asthma and for dissemination of laboratory and clinical findings to the health care community.
