ISBN & ISSN Information

ISBNs for the University of Sydney
The Digital and Print Media Office allocates and maintains the ISBN register for material published by University of Sydney staff.
To obtain an ISBN for a University of Sydney publication, email details of author/editor, title, publishing faculty/department/centre and estimated date of publication to the Information Management Officer, info@publications.usyd.edu.au or phone ext.14625.
The Information Management Officer can also assist with registering publications for Australian Books in Print, obtaining ISSNs and Legal Deposit enquiries.

Cataloguing-in-Publication (CiP)
"CiP is a free service offered by the National Library of Australia. It involves the preparation of a cataloguing entry for a book before the book is published. This CiP entry, which is derived from information supplied to the CiP Unit by publishers, appears in the printed book."
